The Nigerian Professional Football League; Highest Goals Scorers Till Date


PHOTOS: The NPFL Top ScorersThe Nigeria Premier League is the highest level of domestic Nigerian football. It is fed into by the Nigeria National League (NNL). It is organized by the League Management Company.
The highest goal scorer award was instituted in 1990 as the league was re-branded to the Nigeria Premier League
and it was Ishaya Jatau that set the first record of 17 goals. after which It took another 20 years before the jinx was broken by Ahmed Musa in the 2009/2010 season with 18 goals. Just a year after, Jude Aneke raised the bar again with 20 goals. Mfon Udoh, last season, scored an amazing 23 goals to set a new record in the Nigerian Professional Football league, while Gbolahan Salami recorded 17 goals in the just concluded season to win the golden boot.

Below are the list of the highest goal scorers, from 1990 till date.
